The doctor and his staff were very welcoming when I arrived. The doctor was very thorough with the exam and all aspects of doing his job. The optical staff afterwards kind of lost their motivation when they discovered I was there for lenses only and wanted to use my frames from my last exam. In reality, my insurance only covers a percentage of frames every two years. So it must be a commission/pay issue😂, not as much interest in helping someone who isn’t buying marked up frames, lense upgrades and other offerings that they get a commission on……so they were short and ready for me to be gone. Nonetheless, I got what I was initially there for after losing a lense and decided not to pursue any other info with the staff, therefore I give them 3 stars👍

Josie was most helpful in answering all my questions and processing order for new glasses. I was in and out in record time. Heartland Vision always has been a pleasant experience for me.

On Wednesday October 19, 2022 I was stressing out about my glasses. I had broken both sides on or near the hinges and my husband taped them to work temporarily. So went back to the place I had gotten them for an exam and new glasses since I was due for an exam. I have only so much allowed by insurance and then it all becomes out of pocket and being on disability doesn't leave me extra for that kind of expense. They're glasses were going to cost me an extra $200-300 on top of the $250 the insurance covers! I definitely don't have that kind of extra money. So then we tried looking for some glasses in a thrift store but nothing so then we looked up trying to find a repair shop and found Heartland Vision and Madison and Josie. Unfortunately they couldn't be repaired but we explained my problem and Madison pointed out the value frames and worked out the price for the lenses I needed and got me set up with a new pair of glasses for $249.00 so insurance covered everything! So happy and relieved. Madison did a great job of getting me set up and Josie was just super nice while we were all talking while we were getting everything settled. These girls were awesome and now will come to Heartland Vision from now on. They deserve raises!

Josie was very great and pleasant to work with. She was very helpful in picking out my new frames and answering all my questions. She made everything easy. The doctor and other staff was great. Will return and recommend

The best place. I had an emergency and needed to get into a location right away before my work shift tonight. Not only did they accommodate my emergency, i was able to go home with an emergency pair of contacts til my new contacts and glasses came in. Not only that they literally try to find as much discount codes to give you the best affordable option if you dont have insurance. Definitely my new place for our entire family...

BEST EYE CARE IN THE STATE OF INDIANA!❤️Dr. Wilson SAVED MY LIFE by referring me to a specialist who diagnosed an aneurysm that was about to burst! If not for Dr. Wilson, tragedy would have ensued and I wouldn’t be here today enjoying my great granddaughters. 😭 I can not recommend him high enough! ❤️

It's relatively inexpensive, but there is a flippin' $50.00 new patient fee. I feel that either you want new patients or you don't, and if you do want new patients then there should be no extra "new patient" charge. That's ridiculous! If you don't want more business, just say so--well I guess you did. The customer service is lacking here, too. When I go in, I usually just get stared at for a while, before someone asks how they can help me. I had a hard time finding frames that I liked here because my face is so small, but I am not a kid so Barbie frames don't really work well and they don't assist you in finding frames- you're on your own. It is inexpensive outside of the stupid new patient fee though, so if you're on a tight budget, this place is ok.
